在科研方面主要从事数值代数与科学计算、图像处理、模式识别与目标追踪的相关研究工作。主持完成国家自然科学基金2项、中国博士后科研基金和电子科技大学校青年基金各1项，在研四川省科技计划项目1项； 参与973计划子课题、863课题、教育部科学技术研究重点项目等6项。

? ? ?在教学方面主要承担本科生《数学实验》、《数学建模》和《线性代数与空间解析几何》教学，以及研究生《矩阵理论》和《数值代数》等教学工作。参与撰写《线性代数疑难问题选讲》和《矩阵理论学习指导》等教学材料多部。近年,积极探索启发式、研讨式教学、以及MOOC课和微课等多种教学形式；作为骨干教师《线性代数与空间解析几何》慕课在中国大学MOOC网上线。
? ? 主持高等学校大学数学教学研究与发展中心研究课题、校教改项目4项，在《大学数学》、《高等数学研究》、《实验科学与技术》等杂志发表教学研究论文11篇；指导本科生撰写研究型小论文30余篇，其中在《大学数学》、《实验科学与技术》、《无线电通讯技术》等刊物已发表8篇。
? ?另外，担任本学院15人次本科生的科研训练导师；指导本科毕业设计18人；并指导学生获校创新基金3项。自2013年起担任校数学建模训练导师，指导学生获得全国大学生数学建模竞赛一等奖2次，二等奖2次，省一等奖10次；美国大学生数学建模竞赛：一等奖（M奖）9次，?二等奖(?H奖)6次。
