孙艳娟研究员的研究领域包括:环境与能源催化材料、材料表界面过程和材料模拟计算等。主持国家自然科学基金项目和省部级科研项目5项。在Applied Catalysis B: Environmental,Chemical Communications,Environmental Science & Technology,Journal of Catalysis,Chinese Journal of Catalysis,Catalysis Science & Technology,Journal of Colloid and Interface Science和Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics等期刊发表SCI论文80余篇(ESI高被引论文20篇,ESI热点论文3篇)。所有论文被SCI引用6100余次,H指数为38。获得第一作者发明国家专利授权3项,获得省部级自然科学奖二等奖2项。
