主讲人简介：
Maura Dykstra is assistant professor of Caltech, she graduated from UCLA in 2014. Her doctoral dissertation, "Complicated Matters: Commercial Dispute Resolution in Qing Chongqing 1750-1911," was written using materials from the Ba Xian archives. She studies law, economy, urban history, and state-making from the late imperial period to the twentieth century. In addition to holding short-term fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History and the Taiwan Center for Chinese Studies, she was a Harvard University Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies An Wang Postdoctoral Fellow during the 2014-2015 academic year, and is currently doing research on an ACLS/Luce Postdoctoral Fellowship. She will begin teaching at Caltech in the 2016-2017 academic year.
