主讲人简介:Alex Cartagena Gordillo, Ph.D.阿莱克斯·卡塔纳博士

Professor Alex Cartagena Gordillo obtained his Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical and Network Engineering in Yokohama National University, Japan. He was an ERCIM postdoctoral fellow at Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Norway. He is member of the IEEE and ERCIM. Currently, he holds a position of research professor at Universidad Católica San Pablo and Universidad Católica de Santa María in Peru. He is author of many journal and conference papers and his research interests are focused on smart cities, environmental monitoring, wireless communications, communications security, 5G telephone systems and internet of things.

阿莱克斯·卡塔纳博士毕业于日本横滨国立大学,获得物理学、电子与网络工程博士学位。曾在挪威科技大学以ERCIM(欧洲信息学和数学研究协会)博士后学者身份工作,为IEEE(美国电气和电子工程师协会)和 ERCIM会员。目前为秘鲁圣帕布罗大学及圣塔玛利亚大学教授,在国际期刊及国际会议发表文章多篇。目前的研究兴趣主要在智慧城市、环境监测,无线通讯、通讯安全、5G电话系统等领域。

内容提要:Environmental Data Analysis with MATLAB / MATLAB在环境数据分析中的应用

Data analysis is of paramount importance because it lets us build mathematical models from them. The resulting models must behave as close as possible to the real systems or elements that they represent. Well-designed models permit us anticipate the results of a system when hypothetical inputs are applied, even when those inputs haven′t been applied before. For these reasons careful and accurate data analysis is important for research and education. It is not a straightforward task because of the advanced mathematical theories involved in its realization. This presentation shows the benefits of using MATLAB and its tools to carry out such an objective and presents environmental data analysis as a study case.
