主讲人简介：
Jonathan Benney is an assistant professor in Chinese Studies at the Department of International Studies, Macquarie University, Australia. He has previously worked as a researcher and postdoctoral fellow at the National University of Singapore, Goethe University, and the University of Oklahoma. He received his PhD from the Asia Institute of the University of Melbourne in 2010. He studies contentious politics and political communication in modern China, with particular emphasis on new media, activism, dispute resolution, the role of law and rights, and the history of ideas. His first book,Defending Rights in Contemporary China, was published by Routledge in 2013.
