主讲人简介：
In his job as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Dr. Neilson reads about 1000 new papers per year. The journal focuses primarily on economics, but these submissions also cover finance, management, marketing, and other business fields. The job provides him with an unusually broad perspective of the academic literature.
内容提要：
This seminar will use that perspective to identify and discuss ideas that researchers in China are strategically positioned to pursue. The talk will concentrate on ways in which China is both a unique and interesting source of both topics and data, and why these research ideas are suitable for publication in international economic journals. It will also help distinguish these topics from those which have narrower interest.
The seminar’s goal is to start lines of academic research that are new and interesting to the literature, but that can only come from Chinese researchers. The hope is that participants will leave the seminar with ideas that they can use to redirect and improve their own research in ways that can lead to publications in international academic journals.
