Jian Huang is a senior researcher and PhD supervisor in the SchoolofMathematical Sciences, University College Cork, Ireland. In 1982, he got his BSc in applied mathematics fromChongqingUniversity. In 1987, he got his MSc in probability and statistics from north western polytechnic university. In 1998 he got his PhD in statistics from University College Dublin, Ireland. He has more than 40 publications in Time Series Analysis, Biostatics and Climate Data Analysis.
内容提要:
The Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a modern medical imaging method which can be performed in cancer patients for: diagnosis/staging, measuring treatment response and recurrence assessment. One of the basic problems in PET processing is image reconstruction from sampled projection data. Reconstruction of PET image in the presence of high uptake regions in the field of view is very challenge. In this talk we present a novel method for image reconstruction in the presence of high uptake regions. The performance of our method is compared to the other well-known methods through the use of simulation.
