主讲人简介：
Alexander Wires 于2013年在美国号称南方哈佛的Vanderbilt大学数学系获得博士学位，现在加拿大Waterloo大学纯数学系做博士后。
他的主要研究方向是泛代数，他的导师Mckenzie是该研究方向的领军人物。他在博士毕业期间获得了学院优秀学术研究奖，曾多次受国际著名数学大会AMS会议的邀请并在大会上发表自己的原创结果，得到领域领军人物的认可。

内容提要：
One of the remarkable developments of Universal Algebra has been the extensions of the notions of centrality and abelianness to very general settings, culminating in the theory of commutators for abstract algebras. My hope is to introduce some aspect of this beautiful theory for a general mathematical audience.
