主讲人简介：
Dr. Manisha Karia is a senior lecturer in the department of international business at Auckland Institute of Studies,Auckland, New Zealand.Her main teaching areas are entrepreneurship and strategic management.Manisha has a Master of Business Studies degree from Massey University, New Zealand and doctorate from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. Her research interests are in the areas of entrepreneurship in emerging economies. Before joining the academic sector in 2000, Manisha had eight years of industry experience in paint, textile, and health care in addition to running self-owned ventures.
Higher education institutions teaching business education are moving away from the traditional classroom-based lecture-type teaching and adapting a more practical approach to learning, with a combination of several pedagogical tools aimed at providing experiential learning. Drawing on the theories of experiential learning and her own teaching experience,Dr. Manisha Karia will examinethe use of experiential learning in business courses with a particular reference toentrepreneurship education.She will conclude bypointing outthe challenges and new directions in experiential learning to improve learning outcomes.
