My research interests are in the areas of nonlinear systems analysis, control, and optimization, with applications to mechanics and systems biology. Our approach is multidisciplinary, involving concepts and methods from logic, applied mathematics, physics, computer science, and engineering. The primary goal is to develop a new hierarchical and multi-scale methodology for understanding complex dynamical systems.
