个人简介
美国籍,博士,教授,中国中组部第二批“****”获得者。于1981年获哈尔滨建筑工程学院供热、供燃气、通风与空调专业学士学位;1984年获哈尔滨建筑工程学院供热、供燃气、通风与空调专业硕士学位;1992年获美国德克萨斯A&M大学机械工程专业博士学位。
刘明生教授历任哈尔滨建筑工程学院供热、供燃气、通风与空调专业讲师;美国加州大学劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室研究员;美国德克萨斯工程实验室助理研究员、助理研究工程师和副研究工程师;美国内布拉斯加大学林肯分校终身教授、能源系统试验室主任。任美国机械工程师学会(ASME) 建筑节能分会主席(2003~2005);美国土木工程协会(ASCE)建筑节能分会主席;美国暖通制冷空调工程师学会(ASHRAE)评审委员会委员;哈尔滨工业大学客座教授(1999~2007)。
30年来,刘明生教授一直致力于建筑与工业节能领域的科研、教学和产业推广应用,特别是在能源系统连续诊断与整体优化控制方面的学术成就,广泛地应用于美国建筑、工业和军事设施节能领域,取得了建筑能耗降低20~40%、工业流体输送系统能耗降低40~70%的成效,取得了显著的节能减排效益。
刘明生教授负责美国能源部、国防部、OPPD等科研项目70余项,获美国专利18项;出版教材、手册及会议出版物9部;发表论文217篇;国际学术会议特邀报告21次。在哈尔滨工业大学负责3门专业课程讲授,在内布拉斯加大学负责11门专业课程讲授,累计培养硕士生21人,博士生19人,研究员19人,研究助理10人。
