Abstract: The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) plays an important role in cell growth,development,and differentiation. The high expression or abnormal activation of EGFR is related to the progression and treatment resistance of a variety of tumors including nonsmall cell lung cancer. Ubiquitination plays an important role in the post-translational modification of EGFR protein and participates in modifying EGFR phosphorylation. A variety of ubiquitin ligases reportedly participate in the ubiquitination modification of EGFR and contribute to and regulate various pathophysiological mechanisms such as EGFR endocytosis and drug resistance. This article reviews that ubiquitin ligase is involved in EGFR ubiquitination modification and related mechanisms.
