无托槽隐形矫治混合牙列扩弓效率的研究

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the efficiency of arch expansion with clear aligners in the mixed dentition stage. Methods Thirty-two patients in the early mixed dentition stage who underwent arch expansion with clear aligners were included in this study. We collected the three-dimensional digital models of pre-treatment, planned the treatment using the ClinCheck software, and performed post-treatment. Linear values of upper and lower arch widths were measured at two different points: the lingual gingival margin and cusp tip. T-test was used to compare the changes of arch width. Results The upper expansion efficiencies at the cusp tips of the primary canine, first primary molar, second primary molar, and first permanent molar were 69%, 70%, 71%, and 61%, and the expansion efficiencies at the gingival margins were 63%, 55%, 59%, and 47%, respectively. The lower expansion efficiencies at the cusp tips of the corresponding tooth positions were 84%, 78%, 76%, and 69%, and the expansion efficiencies at the gingival margins were 69%, 68%, 64%, and 56%. The buccal inclination of the maxillary first permanent molar was 1.19±3.56°, and that of the mandibular first permanent molar was 5.54±3.03°. The actual buccal inclination was greater than the planned value(P<0.05). Conclusion Clear aligners can achieve effective expansion at the mixed dentition stage. The expansion efficiencies of primary canines and primary molars were relatively high. The expansion efficiency at the gingival margin was lower than that at the cusp tip. The actual buccal inclination of the first permanent molar was greater than the planned value.
