胰腺癌组织中SMC1A表达的临床意义及对细胞增殖的影响

Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the expression of chromosome structure maintenance protein 1A (SMC1A) in pancreatic cancer cells and its effect on cell proliferation. Methods From January 2010 to December 2015, 59 specimens of pancreatic cancer patients who underwent surgical resection and who had pathologically confirmed postoperative pathology were selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University. Results SMC1A was significantly expressed in pancreatic cancer, and its expression was positively correlated with the tumor size (P=0.034), T stage (P=0.003), and Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) stage (P=0.047). The positive and high expression of SMC1A and the UICC stage were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis (all P < 0.05). The expression of SMC1A in primary pancreatic cancer cells was significantly lower than that in metastatic pancreatic cancer cells, and the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells was inhibited after SMC1A interference. Conclusion SMC1A is highly expressed in pancreatic cancer, and its expression is closely related to the tumor size, T stage, and UICC stage. The high expression of SMC1A is an independent risk factor affecting the prognosis, and its mechanism may be that SMC1A expression promotes the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells.
