Abstract: Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)possess excellent self-renewal and multi-lineage differentiation capacity as an important cell resource involved in tissue regeneration. Exosomes are a type of extracellular microvesicle secreted by multiple eukaryotes,which mediate communication between cells. MSCs-derived exosomes perform a series of biological functions similar to MSCs. Because of the lower immunogenicity,and safer and more effective treatment results,exosomes provide a new strategy for non-cellular therapy in tissue regeneration. In this paper,the effects and underlying mechanisms of exosomes derived from MSCs on tissue regeneration are reviewed.
