报告摘要：Blockchain technology has gaining high-popularity recently due to its various potential applications. This talk will offer an introduction to this exciting topic. I will present the basic concepts and mechanism behind the blockchain technique. I will also discuss potential applications of the blockchain technology in practical situations, such as smart contract, smart currency, transportation, finance, banking, investment and trading etc.报告人简介：杜东雷教授，加拿大新布伦瑞克大学工商管理学院副院长。1990年本科毕业于复旦大学数学专业，1993年硕士毕业于山东大学数学专业，1996年博士毕业于中国科学院运筹学专业，2003年博士毕业于美国德克萨斯大学达拉斯分校计算机专业。2012年入选北京市第八批“海聚工程”。杜东雷教授主要研究领域为组合优化，鲁棒优化，近似算法，社会网络分析，博弈论算法，供应链管理，选址问题及排序理论等。杜东雷教授科研成果发表在诸多国际一流学术期刊上，包括Operations Research，Algorithmica，SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics，European Journal of Operation Research，Omega等，是运筹及管理学领域的国际知名学者。
