◇ 本人从事的主要研究方向特点、意义及水平及其他：
主要针对重大神经精神疾病（脑卒中、神经退行性疾病和抑郁症等）开展神经生物学与药物药理学研究，为临床治疗学的突破和研发理想的治疗药物提供有益的思路和新的靶标。已建立了相应的实验技术平台，特别是模式动物的制备、饲养和繁殖平台，以及成熟的行为学研究、共聚焦活细胞实时观测、体视学分析、电生理学技术、神经递质测定、在体微透析实验等分子生物学技术与方法。
例一：长期以来，学术界认为H2S对神经细胞的保护作用依赖于Kir6.2构成的K-ATP通道，我们发现Kir6.2敲除不能取消H2S对PD小鼠神经损伤的保护作用，鉴于UCP2是K-ATP通道上游的功能分子，应用UCP2敲除鼠的进一步研究揭示、澄清H2S对DA神经元的保护作用不依赖于Kir6.2/K-ATP通道而依赖于UCP2，为防治防治PD和相关药物研发提供了新靶点。
例二：ATP敏感性钾通道是一类耦联细胞能量代谢和电活动、非电压依赖性的特殊钾离子通道，以细胞内ATP/ADP水平为门控因素。我们发现脑内不同细胞上K-ATP通道的分子组成具有多样性：Kir6.2/K-ATP通道主要表达于神经元，而Kir6.1/K-ATP通道主要表达在神经胶质细胞（包括星形胶质细胞和小胶质细胞）和神经干细胞上。进一步研究发现：Kir6.1作为NLRP3的内源性结合蛋白，调节炎症小体的活化及其介导的致炎作用；Kir6.1敲除后激活巨噬细胞/小胶质细胞NLRP3炎症小体及其介导的代谢性炎症，并引起线粒体损伤和内质网应激，导致神经元损伤。而Kir6.2/K-ATP通道的缺失分别通过miR-133b-Wnt/β-cateni-Pitx-3通路和miR-7-a-synuclein/181a-Bcl-2通路，促进神经元前体细胞向成熟神经元分化，发挥促神经再生作用。这些研究成果为发展靶向于NLRP3炎症小体和选择性开放/阻断K-ATP通道的防治新药积累了重要的学术基础。
先后主持国家****科学基金项目、国家重点基础研究发展计划课题、国家重大科技专项、国家自然科学基金重点项目的研究工作，已发表SCI论文100多篇，累计影响因子超过500，先后获得省部级科技进步奖或科学技术奖一等奖3项。
