杨山，男，1963年3月出生，江苏盐城人。中国科学院南京地理与湖泊研究所博士、东南大学建筑学院城市规划专业博士后。1990年获南京师范大学人文地理专业硕士学位后，开始任教南京师范大学一直至今， 1995—1996年在美国Union College做访问****，研究城市地理和城市经济学。现为南京师范大学地理科学学院教授，博导。
杨山教授研究领域是城乡发展和区域规划，主要是借助3S技术，建立数学模型，从遥感影像提取城市形态信息，确定城乡耦合地域，分析城乡地域结构，揭示城市空间扩展规律和城乡相互作用机理。研究成果已在《地理学报》、《生态学报》、《系统工程理论与实践》、《地理研究》、《地理科学》、《遥感学报》、《PLOS ONE》《Jouranal of Applied Remote Sensing》等期刊上发表，为城乡发展和区域规划及产业布局提供科学决策依据。
2000年以来，先后完成了江苏省自然科学基金项目（基于3S下苏南城镇用地变化与环境效应研究）、无锡市政府招标项目（无锡市建设特大城市的产业布局）、镇江市政府委托项目（镇江市城市化规划和沿江产业带发展规划），国家海洋局908项目（江苏省海洋经济可持续发展综合评价），两项国家自然科学基金项目（大城市城乡耦合地域状态及系统测度研究，经济体制转轨下的城乡空间结构响应研究）等。近年来，根据国家城镇化转型和城乡融合发展战略，结合在研的两项国自然科学基金（多元主体视角下新型城镇化的空间组织及其协同机制）（长三角都市区群态结构演进及其空间耦合机制），分别从人的主体和城市空间组织对城乡村居民生活方式转型以及城市群态结构演变进行研究，旨在建设具有中国体制特色的城乡发展和城市群发展理论。



Yang Shan, male, was born in March 1963 in Yan Cheng, Jiangsu. Ph.D., Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Postdoctoral Program in Urban Planning, School of Architecture, Southeast University. After receiving a master's degree in human geography from Nanjing Normal University in 1990 and began to teach Nanjing Normal University and has been a visiting scholar at United College from 1995 to 1996 to study urban geography and urban economics. Now job is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Geographic Sciences, Nanjing Normal University.

Prof. Yang Shan’s research field is urban and rural development and regional planning. It mainly uses 3S technology to establish mathematical models, extracts urban form information from remote sensing images, determines the urban-rural coupling region, analyzes the urban and rural geographical structure, and reveals urban spatial expansion patterns and urban-rural interaction mechanisms. Research results have been published in Journal of Geographical Sciences, Journal of Ecology, System Engineering Theory and Practice, Geography Research, Geography Science, Journal of Remote Sensing, PLOS ONE, Jouranal of Applied Remote Sensing, etc. The publication provides scientific decision-making basis for urban and rural development and planning and industrial layout.
Since 2000, the National Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province (based on the study of urban land use change and environmental effects under 3S in Southern Jiangsu), the Wuxi municipal government bidding project (the industrial layout of the mega cities in Wuxi City) and the projects entrusted by the Zhenjiang municipal government have been completed. Zhenjiang City Urbanization Planning and Development Plan for Coastal Industrial Belts), State Oceanic Administration's 908 Project (Comprehensive Evaluation of Sustainable Development of Marine Economy in Jiangsu Province), and Two National Natural Science Fund Projects (Coupled Geographical Status and System Measurement Research in Urban and Rural Areas of Big Cities, Economy Study on the Response of Urban and Rural Spatial Structure under the System Transition). In recent years, according to the national strategy for urbanization and the development of urban-rural integration, the two national natural science funds under study (combined with the spatial organization of new urbanization from the perspective of multi-subjects and their synergetic mechanisms) (the evolution of the group structure and spatial coupling mechanism in the Yangtze River Delta metropolitan area). From the entirety human subjectivity type structure and the urban space organization to urban life style transformation of urban residents and the evolution of the city's group structure to conduct research, aims to build China's institutional characteristics of urban and rural development and urban group development theory.
