胡欣本科(2005-2009)和博士(2009-2014)毕业于西安交通大学,2014年至今在南京工业大学材料科学与工程学院先后担任助理教授和副教授,2018年-2019年赴芝加哥大学开展合作研究,主要研究兴趣为功能高分子材料的设计、合成与应用,主持国家自然科学基金青年项目和中国石化委托开发项目,发表SCI论文30余篇,授权中国发明专利20余件,荣获2020年中国化工学会基础研究成果一等奖(9/12)。
Prof. Xin Hu studied Materials Science and Engineering (B.S. 2009 and Ph.D. 2014) in the School of Science at the Xi'an Jiaotong University. She moved to the College of Materials Science and Engineering at the Nanjing Tech University as an Assistant Professor in 2014, and was promoted to an Associate Professor in 2017. From 2018 to 2019, she conducted the research about cellulose nanocrystals at The University of Chicago as a Visiting Professor.
Prof. Xin Hu is interested in design, synthesis and application of polymer materials. Based on the catalysis and microflow technology, she aims to develop controlled polymerization methodologies for precision polymer fabrication, including but not limited to (photoinduced) reversible deactivation radical polymerization and ring-opening polymerization, etc. She is also interested in the structure and property relationship in order to explore novel functional polymer materials with broad applications, such as dielectric energy storage materials, nano-objects, nanocomposites, and bio-based materials, etc.
