周领,工学博士,教授,博士生导师,国际水利与环境工程学会(IAHR)最佳评审人奖、霍英东教育基金会青年教师基金、江苏省“333工程”中青年学术技术带头人、江苏省科协青年科技人才托举工程、江苏省优博等获得者。担任水力学领域国际著名SCI期刊Journal of Hydraulic Research-IAHR编委(AE),国际水利与环境工程学会(IAHR)水力瞬变流事务委员会领导小组成员,美国土木工程师协会(ASCE)城市水系统两相流事务委员会委员,排灌机械工程学报青年编委,国际压力波动会议学术顾问委员,3个国际学术会议组委会委员;国家自然科学基金委、教育部学位中心、30多个期刊(18个SCI)通讯评议专家;IAHR、ASCE、美国科学技术协会、中国水利学会、中国水力发电学会等学会会员。
主要从事水电站、抽水蓄能电站、泵站、城市供水、城市雨洪排水工程等的输排水系统瞬变流仿真与控制等方面的科学研究、人才培养和工程实践。在输排水工程水气耦合瞬变流方面开展了系统性的研究工作,形成研究特色,取得了具有国际影响力的成果。主持科研项目近20项,包括国家自然科学基金4项(面上、青年、国际交流合作、重点项目子课题)、霍英东教育基金会青年教师基金、教育部博士点专项基金、武汉大学国家重点实验室开放基金、中央高校国家优青培育项目等纵向科研项目及科技服务课题。已发表学术论文60余篇,SCI论文32篇,水力学领域两个国际著名SCI期刊Journal of Hydraulic Research-IAHR、Journal of Hydraulic Engineering-ASCE论文近20篇(近几年中国大陆第一/通讯作者篇数排名前列)。在国际学术会议报告6次;受邀至香港科技大学、天津大学、全国水力机械大会做特邀报告3次。第一发明人发明专利14项(授权5项)。
相关研究成果引起了国际国内同行的高度关注,来自于多伦多大学、香港科技大学、香港理工大学、美国奥本大学、荷兰埃因霍恩理工大学、斯洛文尼亚卢布尔雅那大学等多位瞬变流方面国际领军专家受邀或主动来访进行了深入交流和讨论,并建立了合作关系,如:联合培养博士、项目和论文合作。
