Synthesis of nano-structured composite materials, such as nanoparticles, nanowires and tubes, self-assembled membrane, etc based upon conducting polymers, carbon nanotubes and ionic liquids, are explored and their unique properties are also characterized widely by interfacial electrochemical methods and combined spectroelectrochemical techniques. Moreover, the modifications on the electrode substrates are also carried out for exploring their applications in chemical sensing. Such functionalized sensors are expected to be combined further with analytical instrumentalization.
