伍歆，生于1967年9月，湖南邵阳人。2000-2003年在南京大学天文系攻读博士学位，又于2004-2006年期间在南京大学从事物理学博士后研究工作。自2003年6月起一直在南昌大学物理系工作，现为二级教授，赣江****，博士生、博士后导师，天文学研究所负责人；江西省天文学会常务副理事长、法人代表，江西省高等学校中青年学科带头人，江西省主要学科学术和技术带头人，江西省百千****才工程人选，江西省政府特殊津贴人选，享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家。中国科学院紫金山天文台兼职研究员、博士生导师；教育部博士点授权审核评估专家，人社部中国博士后基金评审专家，国家基金委重点等项目函评和会评专家，科技部国家重点研发计划重点专项项目会评专家，国家自然科学奖评审专家。以第一或通讯作者在国际天文物理SCI期刊上发表学术论文50多篇；主持国家自然科学基金项目6项，其中1项为重点项目； 2011年荣获江西省自然科学奖一等奖；2012年获得中国天文学会九十周年天文学突出贡献奖; 2014年授予全国优秀科技工作者称号。国内开设了相对论天体系统混沌研究的新方向，属于计算物理、非线性混沌动力学、天体力学和相对论天体物理的交叉领域，涉及到相对论系统数值积分方法、混沌识别方法、相对论后牛顿近似理论、旋转体哈密顿动力学及双黑洞引力波形，在相对论混沌方面形成了比较系统的研究工作，解决了自旋致密双星系统混沌的几个争议。
