吴照奇，男，1983年7月生，2004年毕业于南昌大学理学院数学系信息与计算科学专业，获理学学士学位，2007年毕业于南昌大学数学系应用数学专业，获理学硕士学位，2011年毕业于浙江大学数学系，获理学博士学位。2011年7月来南昌大学理学院数学系工作，2014年8月入选南昌大学首批“215人才工程”赣江青年****（聘期5年），2015年12月晋升为副教授，2017年获批为硕士生导师。2018年9月—2019年9月受国家留学基金委面上项目资助在德国莱比锡马克斯-普朗克数学研究所访问，合作导师为德国科学院院士、莱比锡马克斯-普朗克数学研究所所长Jürgen Jost教授。曾任南昌大学理学院数学系应用数学教研室副主任，现任数学系信息与计算教研室副主任。国家级精品在线开放课程《聪慧的源泉——数学导读》主要成员（排名第4），国家级精品资源共享课《高等数学》团队成员，国家级精品在线开放课程《高等数学（一）》主讲教师和主要成员（排名第4）。
主要研究方向为泛函分析和量子信息论。现为美国《Mathematical Reviews》评论员，中国优选法统筹法与经济数学研究会经济数学与管理数学分会第六届理事会理事，中国工业与应用数学学会会员。主持3项国家自然科学基金项目（其中2项已结题）、1项江西省自然科学基金项目（已结题）、2项江西省教育厅基金项目（其中1项青年、1项重点，均已结题）和2项江西省教改项目（其中1项已结题），参与2项国家自然科学基金项目（1项已结题）、2项江西省自然科学基金项目（均已结题）和1项江西省教改项目（已结题），发表SCI论文40余篇，教学研究论文2篇（其中1篇为CSSCI源刊、北大中文核心收录）。
