黄焕义，1960年11月生，江西抚州人，1985年毕业于景德镇陶瓷学院，获韩国圆光大学美术学硕士学位，现为陶瓷美术学院教授、硕士生导师，江西省高校中青年骨干教师，享受国务院特殊津贴，中国美术家协会会员。
1997年，陶艺《遥》由中国文化部收藏，陶艺《门》由美国阿尔费雷德大学博物馆收藏。
1999年，陶艺《瓷语》由中国工艺美术馆收藏。
2001年，陶艺《扭动的型之一》由韩国世界陶瓷博览会收藏。
1998年，陶艺《陶说》获得第六届全国陶瓷艺术评比二等奖。
2000年陶艺《桌子NO.1》获第二届中国工艺美术优秀作品评选银奖。
2004年陶艺《萌》入选第十届全国美术作品展览。
2000年，主编《陶艺技法》著作。
2001年，出版《21世纪优秀艺术家画集——黄焕义》。
