Biography Biography
Prof Erwin Huang is a serial entrepreneur, a leader in a social enterprise and the eLearning field for more than 30 years. Currently, he is Associate Professor and Senior Advisor of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His mission is to teach social innovation and entrepreneurship to university students and to let more young people understand entrepreneurial spirit, identify social issues, as well as creating social impact through innovations. He is Vice-Chairman of Junior Achievement Hong Kong, which is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young leaders to succeed in a global economy through entrepreneurship; Co-Founder of DreamStarter, a new community initiative that makes dream projects initiated by school students come true, through raising awareness, mentoring, crowdfunding and crowdsourcing support; and Chairman of VR Educate Limited – Consultative Group, which fosters the interest in schools, enhances VR eLearning and maintains VR technology on a school-friendly basis. He is also Founder of Agent of Change, a young social enterprise aiming to provide low-price high-quality daily necessities to grassroots; and Chairman of Social Career, a nonprofit organization that educates the general public about volunteerism and involvement in social causes and services. He is also Chief Consultant of Business Planning & Non-executive Director of Sky Light Holdings Limited (Stock: 3882) and Deputy Chairman & Non-executive Director of Tse Sui Luen Jewellery (International) Limited (Stock: 417).
