Biography Biography
Prof Arya received his BTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 1986, and his MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1990 and 1995, respectively. He has been a visiting researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut fur Informatik in Saarbrucken, Germany. Prof Arya joined Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in August 1995. His research interests include computational geometry, data structures and algorithms, and approximation algorithms.
