Biography Prof. Man obtained his occupational therapy qualification in Hong Kong, a Master of Sciences in Rehabilitation Studies at Southampton University, UK, and a PhD from The University of Hong Kong. He received neurorehabilitation and cognitive therapy training in the USA and the UK. Prof. Man's specialties are in memory research and innovative cognitive rehabilitation for ultimate community reintegration. Use of tele-rehabilitation, virtual reality systems and computer-assisted platforms for persons with acquired brain injury, mild cognitive impairment and schizophrenia are recent research foci. He has been the grant holder of many competitive grants including the General Research Grant (Research Grant Council), the Health Services Research Grant, Health Care and Promotion Fund and the IGARD grant (Product Development). Prof. Man has published widely in journals in SCI and SCCI,and in the areas of neurorehabilitation, geriatrics, rehabilitation psychology, occupational therapy and quality of life. He also developed two patented projects, an expert system in memory rehabilitation, Empowerment Questionnaires (EQ) in persons with brain injury and family caretakers, an online Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test, a Chinese version of the Cambridge Prospective Memory Test and three licensing virtual-reality based softwares. He is now the coordinator of the Neuroscience and Neurological Rehabilitation research group in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences.
