Lo, Kai Wah Philip 羅啟華

Philip is currently a Consultant with Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), one of the largest independent consultant quantity surveying practices globally.
Philip was the RLB Chairman of Hong Kong/China between 2010 and 2018. Between 2013 and 2015, Philip was also the RLB Global Board Chairman, overseeing the hundred offices worldwide.
Philip is a Fellow Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a first-class honours degree and a distinction degree.
He has been in the property and construction industry for over 40 years. His experience is extremely varied, as he has been involved with projects of different sizes and complexities in Hong Kong, Macau and China. Many of the iconic buildings seen in the Hong Kong skyline today were some of his projects.
Currently, Philip is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Hong Kong Housing Society and a member of its Special Committee on Planning, Design and Construction.
He sat on the UK Management Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) between 2011 to 2016. He was the first non-UK member on the Management Board. He was also Chairman of the QS and Construction Committee of RICS (Hong Kong) (2004-2007) and also a Board member of the RICS (Hong Kong) Board (2004-2006).
In addition to being an Adjunct Professor of the University of Hong Kong, he has also sat on Advisory panels and also acted as External Examiners for many universities in Hong Kong.
Aside from work and education, he is involved in Boards and Committees of other charitable organisations, schools and clubs. He is currently a Voting Member of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
