Dr. Estela Ibáñez-García obtained her PhD in Musicology from The University of Hong Kong. In 2010–11, she was a Research Fellow in the Film Studies Department of the University of Stockholm with a scholarship offered by “la Caixa” Foundation. She holds degrees in Art History and Musicology, a Higher Diploma in Guitar, and Master’s Degrees in History and Aesthetics of the Cinema and Advanced Studies in Philosophy. Estela worked as a Temporary Assistant Professor in the African Studies Programme of The University of Hong Kong from 2017 to 2020. In 2021, she joined the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as a Lecturer in Complementary Studies.
