Biography
Prof. Huang is a well-established scholar in the fields of representation theory, lie groups and harmonic analysis. He has a strong publication record of 3 books and 44 research articles, a number of which are published in top journals in his area.
Prof. Huang received his Bachelor’s degree from Peking University in 1984 and Ph.D. degree from M.I.T. in 1989. He joined The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1933 as an Assistant Professor and has been a Chair Professor in the Department of Mathematics since 2013.
Prof. Huang is the winner of the State Natural Science Award Class II in 2002 and Croucher Senior Research Award in 2004. He is also a rather experienced instructor and Ph.D. advisor.
