BiographyChee-keong Low (‘CK’) is an Associate Professor in Corporate Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School with research interests in issues pertaining to corporate governance and the regulatory framework of capital markets. His research, which has published in journals in Australasia, Europe and the United States of America, is supported by grants from Sino Group.
Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, CK is presently a member of the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform in Hong Kong and Disciplinary Panel A of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He previously served as a member of the Listing Committee of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong from May 2006 to July 2010; and the maximum of six years on each of the Financial Reporting Review Panel to July 2013; the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal to March 2017; and the Process Review Panel of the Financial Reporting Council to December 2020.
CK is a Fellow of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute and was re-elected to its Council in December 2021. A selection of his papers is available at www.ssrn.com/author=332882.
