摘要Introduction: Watch-PAT has proven to have high correlation with the polysomnography results. There is no study on the test-retest reliability of the device. The aim of the study is to investigate the variability of Watch-PAT results. Method: 31 subjects (23 males, 8 females, mage age of 43.26 and mean body mass index (BMI) of 25.68) underwent Watch-PAT for 2 consecutive nights in a public hospital. We excluded subjects with valid total sleep time less than 300 minutes or sleep efficiency less than 75% in either 1 night of Watch-PAT sleep study. Result: (1)The 1st night average RDI was 34.57 and 2nd night average RDI was 32.22. (2) There was high correlation of 0.91 between 1st night RDI and 2nd night RDI. (3) 15 (48%) subjects had RDI difference within 5 and 24 (77%) subjects had RDI difference within 10.
4)For BMI<25, all 14 subjects had RDI difference within 10. (4) For BMI>25, 10 (59%) subjects had RDI difference within 10. (p-value = 0.007). Conclusion: (1) Watch-PAT has a high test-retest reliability (r = 0.91). (2) Subjects with BMI < 25 have significantly improved test-retest reliability.
