摘要A salivary gland swelling is an important differential diagnosis that needs to be considered for an upper neck or intra-oral swelling. Important non-neoplastic causes include infection, obstructive duct disease, cysts and Sj?gren's syndrome. Neoplasms of parotid glands are usually benign whereas those of sublingual and minor salivary glands are often malignant. Most salivary neoplasms require surgical excision for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
