The Scholarship
The Ho Chor Memorial Scholarship has been generously donated by Mr Ho Wing Him Laurence in commemoration of his late father Mr Ho Chor. It aims to provide financial support to Mainland Chinese students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.
Amount of Scholarship
Each awardee will receive a lump sum of HK$10,000. A maximum of four scholarships will be awarded each year.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be full-time Mainland Chinese students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies;
- Applicants must be newly-admitted students to the Programme and spend at least ONE academic year in Hong Kong to complete the degree;
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merits.

St. Francis Xavier Scholarship

The Scholarship
The St. Francis Xavier Scholarship has been generously donated by the alumni of St. Francis Xavier’s School, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. It aims to provide financial support to students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.
Amount of Scholarship
Each awardee will receive a lump sum of HK$10,000. A maximum of three scholarships will be awarded each year.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be registered students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies;
- Applicants must be newly-admitted students to the Programme and will spend at least ONE academic year to complete the degree;
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merits.

Leung Yun Tim Memorial Scholarship

The Scholarship
The Leung Yun Tim Memorial Scholarship has been generously donated by our alumni Mr. Leung Lee Chung. It aims to award the top students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.
Amount of Scholarship
Each awardee will receive a lump sum of HK$12,000. A maximum of three scholarships will be awarded each year.
Eligibility
- Awardees should be registered students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies;
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the academic merits (Overall GPA results).
Shun Shin Kindness Foundation Scholarship
信善恩惠慈善基金奖学金
The Scholarship
The Scholarship has been generously donated by ‘Shun Shin Kindness Foundation’. It aims to provide financial support to students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies. And the students should be interested in Taoism.
Amount of Scholarship
Each awardee will receive a lump sum of HK$10,000. A maximum of three scholarships will be awarded each year.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be registered students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies;
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merits and financial need.
- Applicants must have taken at least one course in Taoism.
- Applicants have to submit one term paper related to Taoism.
TAM So and VONG Kuan I Memorial Scholarship
谭苏、黄坤仪纪念奖学金
The Scholarship
The TAM So and VONG Kuan I Memorial Scholarship has been generously donated by our alumni Mr. TAM Lok Wu Francis in commemoration of his late parents Mr. TAM So and Mrs. VONG Kuan I. It aims to award the top students in Buddhism studies of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.
Amount of Scholarship
Each awardee will receive a lump sum of HK$10,000. A maximum of three scholarships will be awarded each year.
Eligibility
l Awardees should be registered students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.
l The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merits (overall GPA result in Buddhism studies).
