Cristinel Mardare received his PhD degree in 1997 from University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France. Before joining City University of Hong Kong, he was Associate Professor at Sorbonne University, formerly University Pierre et Marie Curie. His research uses methods from Functional Analysis, Partial Differential Equations and Differential Geometry to study problems in Solid Mechanics and General Relativity.
