Competitive Ranking of Chinese Cities in Intercity Passenger Transportation

报告人简介：加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学（UBC）教授，温哥华机场权威特聘教授，在全球航空运输、航空经济、航空物流等方面有着深入研究，先后发表约140余篇论文，出版约16本著作，在国际上荣获多项奖项。曾先后任职于香港城市大学、维多利亚大学、英属哥伦比亚大学等，并在世界多所高校进行过学术访问。

报告内容：In this paper, Prof. Zhang will propose a network model for connectivity measurement of multi-transport modes, which measures and compares the performance of cities in inter-passenger transportation. In particular, the model will take into account both the quantity and quality of scheduled connections by air and rail transport. The model is then applied to the data collected for major cities in China, and the ranking of these cities in terms of connectivity performance will be produced. In addition, the ranking of best connected city-pair routes will be offered. Finally, the policy implications for Zhengzhou will be discussed.
