?在智利圣地亚哥召开的国际地震工程协会（IAEE）全体国家（地区）代表大会上，工力所孙柏涛研究员作为中国国家代表再次当选为新一届执委，任期四年。经全体国家（地区）的代表投票确定，第十七届世界地震工程大会将于2020年在日本仙台举办。
?我所主办的英文刊《Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration》借此契机，展示了近年来的部分成果，积极征稿约稿，进一步扩大英文刊在世界地震工程界的国际影响。
?世界地震工程大会是地震工程领域最有影响力的学术性会议，由国际地震工程协会（IAEE）主办，四年一届。本次大会有来自世界各个国家和地区、相关国际组织的官员、专家和学者2493人参加会议，共邀请5个主题报告、2个辩论专题、4个特邀报告，共设43个普通专题、111个特别专题，以及3个特别纪念专题。本届大会共接受论文2130篇，其中口头报告1509个、张贴报告637个。
