从事沥青路面功能化设计与应用、沥青基道路材料设计与应用、沥青路面养护材料及技术、长寿命路面抗滑层材料等研究工作。主持国家自然科学基金项目2项。在《Renew. Sust. Energ. Rev 》、《J. Clean. Prod.》等重要国际学术期刊上发表SCI学术论文36篇,出版英文专著1部。指导硕士研究生多次获得校优秀毕业生,校优秀硕士学位论文,研究生国家奖学金和研究生卓越奖学金等荣誉称号。
