教育与研究经历
1984-1987,大学本科就读于HongKongPolytechnicUniversity化工系,后期赴英国伦敦大学Birkbeck学院攻读化学专业的研究生学位;
1987-1990,英国雷丁大学获得博士学位,研究方向是固体化学与催化,从事甲烷催化氧化偶联反应研究。
1990.8-1995.10,牛津大学博士后,DepartmentalFellow,先进材料与催化研究中心负责人;
1995.10-2007.8,英国雷丁大学(UniversityofReading)讲师、Reader、教授,研究方向是纳米材料与催化,表面与催化研究中心主任;
2007.9至今,牛津大学化学系Wolfson催化研究中心教授,主任;
2008.3起,武汉大学化学与分子科学学院教授,教育部****讲座教授。

研究领域与兴趣
长期致力于与能源和环境问题密切相关的多相催化研究,在能量储存(燃料电池、储氢)、化工节能减排、新能源化工、CO2储存与催化转化及功能催化材料制备等方面取得了卓有成效的进展。过去十年主持科研项目经费超过600万英镑,已在NatureScienceNatureNanotechnologyNatureCommunicationAngew.Chem.Int.Ed.JACSAdv.Mater.等国际学术期刊发表论文220余篇,被引用超过6400次;并拥有16项发明专利。现为英国化学工程师协会(IChemE)催化学科委员、英国自然科学基金委(EPSRC)大学联盟委员、催化学科委员;国际催化领域知名期刊ChemCatChem和CatalysisToday编委。荣获2012年RSCGreenChemistryAward(英国皇家化学会绿色化学奖)、和2013年RSCSurfaces&InterfacesAward(英国皇家化学会表面与界面科学奖)。
