赖旭龙，男，1964年11月出生。古生物学及地层学教授,博士生导师。1984年于武汉地质学院获学士学位，1991年于中国地质大学(武汉)获古生物学及地层学专业博士学位。1995年赴英国伯明翰大学国际合作，1998年赴美国Wayne州立大学生命科学系进修分子生物学，1999年下半年至2000年上半年到英国莱斯特大学进行分子古生物学和微体古生物学国际合作。200年6月至2002年6月英国莱斯特大学进行英国皇家学会皇家博士后工作（Royal Fellowship）。曾任中国地质大学(武汉)地质系系副主任(1993.6-1994.12)、湖北省地质学会青年工作委员会主任委员(1993.1-1996.12)、中国地质大学(武汉)地球科学学院副院长、院学术委员会主任（1995.1-1998.5）、地球科学院副院长（1998.6-2001.1,在此期间不承担具体行政工作）、中国地质大学国际合作处处长(2002.2-2008.12),国际教育学院院长（2004.6-2008.12），地球科学学院院长（2008.12-）、生命科学研究所所长（2002.4-），欧美同学会副会长；武汉市欧美同学会理事、副秘书长（2007-）。近20多年来长期从事生物地层学、生态地层学、沉积学及古地理学、分子古生物学的教学和科研工作，作为项目负责和主要参加者主持或参加国家自然科学基金项目、部攻关项目及国际合作项目20余项，现已在国内外刊物上发表学术论文80余篇，作为主要作者出版学术专著5部。作为主要获奖者分别获地质矿产部科技成果二等奖(1993年)、三等奖(1994年)各一项,四川省科技进步奖三等奖（1999）一项,教育部“提名国家科技进步奖一等奖”（2001）。1993年分别获"中国地质大学(武汉)首届十大杰出青年"、"中国地质学会第四届青年地质科技奖-银锤奖"等荣誉,1998年评选为"湖北省高校中青年学科带头人"，2001年获湖北省"五四青年奖章"。

Lai Xulong ,male, born in 1964. Professor of Palaeontology and Stratigraphy. BSc (ChinaUniversityofGeosciences-CUG) 1984, Ph.D (CUG) 1991. He is currently member of the leading group of Conodont Association of China. One of the editors of five monographs: ’ The Triassic of Qinling Mountains and Nieghbouring Areas’ (CUG Press) 1992; ’ Sedimentation and Evolution of Qinling Phanerzoic Basin’ (Geological Publishing House)1994; ’ Late Permian to Triassic Ecostratigraphy of Yangtze Plate and Adjacent Area’ ( Science Press )1995; ’ Tectonic Physical Chemistry and Metallogenesis’ (Geological Publishing House)1999;慍ompsite orogenic belt and metallization in adjoining area of Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi Provinces (CUG Press). His research interests are in conodonts and mass extinction during the Permian - Triassic period, Triassic biostratigraphy and basinal evolution in Qinling orogenic belt, Northwest China . Since 1997, he has been involving the research of ancient DNA -an exciting and challenging field.
