学习和工作经历袁功林,男,出生于河南商丘。农村长大的我从小就树立了上大学的人生目标，于1997年香港回归时考入河南师范大学数学系计算数学与应用软件专业求学，大学生活对自己帮助很大，特别是同学之间的友谊很深厚，现在时常想念他们。^^2001年毕业时考入广西大学数信学院读研究生，在这里遇到了我的恩师韦增欣教授，韦老师指引我走上了学术研究的道路，他在治学与做人方面都给了我很大的帮助，让我受益匪浅。硕士毕业后留校工作，2005年3月进入上海华东理工大学攻读博士学位，师从华东理工大学鲁习文教授和香港理工大学的祁力群教授,2008年博士毕业，同年底获得副高职称，2011年获得正高职称。2013年-2014年，受邀到澳大利亚悉尼科技大学进行学术访问。
学术兼职一,广西大学第十一届学术委员会委员；
二，期刊Journal of Applied Mathematics,Oriental Journal of Statistical Methods, Thoery and Applications,Advances in Applied Mathematics编委。
主讲课程本科生：《运筹学》、《数学模型》、《微积分》、《数理经济学》等；
研究生：《金融数学》、《金融问题中的优化方法》、《非线性规划》、《最优化方法》、《现代优化方法》、《数值分析》等。
主要研究方向最优化理论与方法、非光滑优化、统计分析、非线性方程组，以及优化方法在经济中应用研究等。
