I am a historian of modern China and East Asia, with broad research interests in global and transnational histories of science, technology, medicine, and the environment (STME). I am
particularly interested in exploring circulations and interactions of peoples, scientific knowledge and practice, technological innovations, medicines, animals, plants and microbes in
modern Chinese, Asian and global contexts.
