Research Interest:
Climate change and its impact on Hydrometeorological extremes e.g. drought, flood, etc. over Asian monsoon region and different river basins (Yangtze, Mekong, Indo-Gangetic, Nile, Amazon etc.) across the globe.
Future projection of extreme Hydrometeorological events using CMIP5/CMIP6/CESM model simulations under different RCP/SSP scenarios.
Impact of 1.5°/2.0° C warming on extreme drought/flood/aridity events over different river basins across the globe.
Relative contribution of external forcings factors and internal climate variability on climate change and its extremes over Asian monsoon region using CMIP5/CMIP6 and CESM large and medium ensemble model simulations.
Assessing relative contribution of aerosol, land, GHG, volcano, solar etc. only forcings on Hydrometeorological extremes using CMIP6/CMIP5/CCSM4 single forcing simulations.
Estimation of Potential Evapotranspiration, SPEI and SPI indices for detection and attribution of Hydrological cycles.
