主要从事地震反射剖面与深部构造研究，以深地震反射剖面为研究先锋，注重地球物理学与构造地质学相结合，进行青藏高原及其周缘（东缘、东北缘和南缘主碰撞带）自新生代以来的构造变形深部过程研究
