Currently, Dr. Ghaffar Ali is working as Associate Professor at the College of Management, Shenzhen University, PR China. Prior to this, he was at Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand from 2017 to 2018. He has also served the United Nations on special mission, Bangkok during 2016. He has post-Ph.D. experience of different organizations such as UN, China, Thailand, Pakistan, Japan, and USA for almost 6 years. He completed his Ph.D. degree at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in 2013 with distinction. His expertise is in the field of Environmental Economics, Ecological Economics, Climate Change Policy, Food Economics, GHG accounting, and Renewable Energy. He has published more than 40 research papers in high impact factor international journals, conferences, working papers and one book published as well. He is serving as editor of a book, to be published in 2020 by Willy & Sons. Several articles and monographs are underway to submit/publish soon. In addition, he has won few international projects and few are in pipeline. Dr. Ali is very much flexible in group activities, collaborations, field work and joint ventures with the multiple institutions/working groups at any level. Dr. Ali is reviewer of almost 20 international journals including (Journal of Cleaner Production, Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Environmental Management, Waste Management, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Urban Climate, and Food Security) and member editorial board of a journal.
