化学教研室现有教师5人,其中教授2名,副教授1名,讲师2名,另有教辅人员2人。所有教师均具有研究生学历,4人有博士学位,1人有硕士学位。

郑锦鸿:
男,1967年3月生,药物化学教授,硕士生导师,汕头大学医学院化学教研室主任,广东省药学会药物化学委员会委员。1989年毕业于中国药科大学化学制药专业。同年考取中国药科大学药物化学专业5年硕博连读的博士研究生,师从为廖清江教授从事甾体药物的开发研制工作,1994年获得药物化学博士学位。1994年7月至今在汕头大学医学院化学教研室和药物研究室工作,为临床医学本科本硕班讲授《有机化学》,2007年荣获李嘉诚基金会卓越教学奖。
此期间曾于1998年11月到2000年3月在美国密西西比州立大学化学系做博士后,从事天然药物有效成分的全合成工作。近年来,作为项目负责人获得广东省自然科学基金项目、广东省科技计划项目和教育部留学回国人员科研启动基金项目各1项,厅级课题2项;作为第二申请人,获得国家自然科学基金2项、国家新药基金1项,省部级课题2项,获得2006年度广东省科学技术奖二等奖1项,广东省自然科学基金研究团队项目核心成员1项。主要著作目录如下:

刘道军:
男,1969年11月生,化学教授,博士生导师。1992年毕业于青岛化工学院(现青岛科技大学)应用化学系工业分析专业,获学士学位。1995年毕业于青岛化工学院应用化学专业,获硕士学位。同年考取北京大学化学与分子工程学院博士研究生,师从马季铭教授从事混合反胶束的结构与性能研究,1998年获物理化学博士学位。1998年11月至1999年12月于瑞士苏黎世联邦工学院(ETH)材料系做博士后,从事囊泡辅助的氨基酸和多肽的缩聚研究。2000年5月至2003年6月在比利时鲁汶大学(KULeuven)化学系De Schryver教授课题组从事研究员工作,研究课题为树枝状超支化高分子的自组装和光化学研究。其后转至美国德克萨斯农工大学(Texas A&M University)Crooks教授课题组继续研究员工作,研究领域为微流体体系中生物大分子的微电化学检测。2004年7月回国到汕头大学医学院化学教研室任教,为临床医学本硕全英班全英讲授《基础化学》。发表学术论文40余篇,其中20余篇被Macro. Rapid Commun., Macromolecules, Langmuir等SCI期刊收录。近年来,作为项目负责人获得国家自然科学基金面上项目2项,教育部留学回国人员科研基金1项,广东省自然科学基金研究团队项目核心成员1项。主要著作目录如下:
