Staff Bio
Lingli Xie holds a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests focus broadly on cross-cultural communication, and more specifically on the synergies between audiovisual translation and technology in the digital age. After completing her PhD in 2016, she first took up a teaching position with Bangor College China, a Sino-British cooperative educational institution. Since then, she has taught a wide range of English courses tailored to undergraduate students in different disciplines including Banking & Finance, Electronic Information Engineering and Forestry. She is also an active translator and interpreter certified by CATTI.
