取得的主要成果和认识:
(1) 通过南海盆地沉积物地球化学分析,系统厘定了南海北缘盆地沉积物来源及其时空演化,揭示南海北缘盆地沉积物来源在~27Ma和~13Ma发生了两次重大的改变;(2) 通过南海北缘盆地、台湾及菲律宾巴拉望新生代地层综合对比,确定了南海海盆由东向西穿时破裂过程。南海洋壳开始形成的时间可能在33-39 Ma 之间,进而提出南海的海底扩张历史要老于现存洋壳的年龄;(3)建立了青藏高原东缘构造-地貌-水系两阶段演化模式。~25 Ma 为青藏高原东缘隆升及水系重组的初始阶段,华南沿海水系(珠江及闽江)逐渐向内陆袭夺,对应于青藏高原东缘的初始隆升及南海的扩张。~10 Ma以来,现代长江、珠江水系格局形成,对应于青藏高原东缘的快速隆升及台湾-吕宋的俯冲造山。
