教育背景：
1984年毕业于西安交通大学工程力学系应用力学专业，获工学学士学位；
1987年毕业于西安交通大学工程力学系应用力学专业，获工学硕士学位；
2000年毕业于澳大利亚昆士兰大学 (University ofQueensland, Australia) 土木工程系结构工程专业，获工学博士学位。
工作经历：
2001年起在澳大利亚南昆士兰大学(University ofSouthern Queensland, Australia) 工程和测绘学院工作, 从事混凝土结构破坏的研究；
2003年起在日本建筑研究所(Building ResearchInstitute, Japan) 研究钢筋混凝土结构的裂纹扩展和破坏控制。
2004年至2010年在澳大利亚工业大(Queensland Universityof Technology, Australia) 卫生和生物医学研究所从事生物力学的研究；
2008年至2009年在德国Ulm大学进行学术交流；
2010年起先后在澳大利亚联邦科学与工业研究院，澳大利亚贝克工程公司, 澳大利亚赫氏公司从事钢结构, 混凝土结构的安全评估及煤矿和油井计算力学分析。
