Jing-CaoDai,ProfessorofChemistry,receivedhisB.Sc.degreeinchemistryin1983fromXiamenUniversityandPh.D.degreeinphysicalchemistryin2002fromFujianInstituteofResearchontheStructureofMatter,ChineseAcademyofSciences.Hecompletedhispostdoctoraltrainingfortwoyears(2004-2005)fromDr.JohnD.Corbett’sgroupinAmesLab-DOEandDept.ofChemistryofIowaStateUniversity.During1983to1985,hehadbeenasajuniorresearchfellowinInstituteofMarineCoatings&Paint(Qingdao,China)workedonsynthesisoforganometallicsandpreparationofmarinecoatings.Since1987hejoinedinInstituteofMaterialsPhysicalChemistryofHuaqiaoUniversityasafacultymember(teaching&researchassistant:1987-1990,lecturerandlaboratorydirector:1990-1996,associateprofessor:1996-2002,professor:2002-,Tongjiangdistinguishedprofessor:2012-)workedonmaterialschemistry.Hepublishedmorethan100peerreviewedpapersandreceivedseveralacademichonorsinclude:travelawardforpresentationat10thInternationalClayConference(1993,Adelaide,Australia),HuaqiaoUniversity'sdistinguishedresearchscientistaward(1996-1998),thefirstclassacademicawardofFujianProvincalGovernment(2005),Who'sWhointheWorld(2009)andcertificateappreciationforvaluablecontributionanddedicatedserviceinthepeerreviewofmanuscriptssubmittedtoACSjournalsbyACSjournalspublishinggroup(2011).HeservicedasamemberforseveralHuaqiaoUniversity’sscientificcommittees(SciencePaneloftheAcademicDegreeAppraisalCommittee,Searchcommitteeforhireofnewfaculty),professionalsocieties(ChineseChemistrySociety,AIPEA,ChineseMaterialsResearchSociety,ChineseSocietyofCompositeMaterials,AmericanChemicalSociety,AAAS)andjournaleditorialboards(GlobalJ.Inorg.Chem.;ISRNInorg.Chem.;Adv.inChem.).Hiscurrentlyresearchinterestscoveredofdesignsynthesisandstructuresofnovelinorganicmaterials,Zintlphasesandintermetallics,andclaymaterialschemistry.SomePublications:http://www.scholarmate.com/profile/jingcaodaiContactinfo,phone/fax:+86-**;email:jcdai@hqu.edu.cn(Noacceptingnewstudents)
